3,500 families since our inception in 2008

Path Home’s success comes from fully implementing the Housing First model, an evidence-based practice that includes three components:

Moving from the chaos of cars, motels, and couches, families find respite at Family Village, the first shelter in Oregon featuring trauma-informed design and architecture. There are private rooms for up to 17 families at a time, 24/7 access to nutritious food, showers, laundry, space to play, a library, computer lab, and regular events that build community.

Families from Family Village shelter and the county-wide waitlist are matched with Path Home housing specialists to help find their new home. Staff build connections with landlords, support families in searching for, applying for, and, moving into new homes, and provide them rental assistance for about a year.

Once families move into housing, parents partner with with a retention specialist who provides customized services for their specific needs. These loving relationships empower families to learn new skills, increase their income, manage mental health, and navigate the maze of social services.
