Worldwide research shows the fastest and most efficient way to alleviate poverty is to give people cash and let them to manage their own household budgets. Path Home is building on this proven solution by piloting our own cash transfer program.
Participating families receive monthly direct cash payments and are supported by a Path Home case manager who helps to set goals for themselves and track their progress over the course of their cohort program. Each quarter, families participate in a survey to assess housing stability, income levels, and educational attainment, as well as intangible but crucial factors like a family’s quality of life and overall sense of wellness.
