Executive Director, Brandi Tuck, Comments on the Increase of Families With Children Experiencing Homelessness — Fox 12 Oregon

Path Home's Executive Director, Brandi Tuck, sat down with Fox 12's Adrian Thomas to discuss the alarming rise in family homelessness in Oregon.

With only three family shelters in Multnomah County, the demand for shelter and affordable housing far exceeds availability. According to the 2023 PIT count, Oregon has the highest rate of family homelessness in the nation. For young children, the effects can be lifelong — experiencing homelessness is a known Adverse Childhood Experience (ACE), linked to long-term health and stability challenges.

Path Home provides critical support, but Oregon must do more to expand affordable housing and family services to meet the growing need.
